Catching Up

Anne this is for you...and the three other people that read my blog! Here are some pictures from the past 3 years of my life. The first two are obviously wedding pictures.
Matt and I were married December 29, 2004 in the Winter Quarters Temple. It was an incredible day. They opened the temple just for us, so we had the whole place to ourselves. During pictures there was hardly a car in the parking lot. We also lucked out with the weather...50 degrees in the middle of winter in Nebraska! It was a perfect day.

This was taken while we were taking our engagement pictures. You've gotta love the canyon in the fall! Some of Matt's friends took our engagement pictures, namely...Statten. Do you remember him Anne? He did a good job, considering he has no photography experience what so ever.

This was in September 2005. We went to Denver to watch the Dodgers play the Rockies. It was fun, we stayed with one of Matt's old mission companions.

This was the day I found out I was pregnant. I was just a little happy to say the least!

This is the house we bought. Our backyard is gigantic! It should be fun next summer to play with Kate back there. I'm also excited to finally have a garden.

This was last Christmas in California. We went with Matt's family to a church gym to play Dodge ball. Matt and I were just storing our energy loading up on Taco Bell...yumm....

This was in Wyoming at my aunt and uncle's cabins. We went up there last September with some friends of ours. We had a great time...mainly we just fished, but it was a blast.

I don't think this needs any commentary...I guess I love fish.

Last summer, (the summer before I was pregnant) Matt and I spent about 3 days a week wake boarding. I learned for the first time, and by the end of the summer wasn't too shabby. I think this was the first time I went out of the wake...and smiled. In all the other pictures I have this terrified look on my face.

This was last summer in Nebraska with my brother and his wife and kids. Aren't those kids cute? Wow I was tan, I think I look much better tan...I've been pail for so long I didn't remember what I looked like tan.

In Nebraska with my parents fishing on the Missouri River. Matt and I took an over night trip with my parents and my little brother. It was fun, we took the boat about 20 miles up river to a little town and then spent the night and came back the next day.

Matt with a stringer full of fish...this should be with the Wyoming pictures.

This was last Halloween...I hope this doesn't offend anyone. I laughed so hard as I was drawing Matt's Mustache on, and coloring his eyebrows black. We went to Hamilton's that night..for their Halloween party. We worked the door, taking money, and checking I.D's. It got crazy, the place was packed and we had to act like the bouncers. Oh yea, all those big groups of college kids really listened to me as they were trying to sneak in. Needless to say I won't be doing that again!

Well, that's what I thought then Matt committed to Hamilton's for another two years. So, we bought a house, and have made ourselves cozy here. I don't know what will in a few years, but we're pretty happy and set here. If your ever in the neighborhood we'd love to see you, or else we'll have to make a trip down there sometime. Are you guys in Utah for a while? We'll have to have Hazen and Kate play in the future!

We'll have to make a trip up to Logan soon! What is Matt doing at Hamilton's? Is he still trying to get his Pilot stuff?

Matt's running Hamilton's, he kind of took it over so Justin can step away. It's been good, except for working late nights and weekends...I spend a lot of time alone with Kate. But he enjoys it. He's not doing his pilot stuff anymore, he stopped after we got married. He really only wanted to fly if he could join the air force and he didn't want to do that. We'd love to see you guys, we'll for sure have to plan something.

You simply must update more frequently. I'm trying to get my Amanda fix!!

Amanda, I can't believe how long your hair is in all of these pictures! Do you miss it, or is it better to have shorter hair that is easier to take care of when you have a new baby?

Actually Amber I thought the exact same thing when I was posting the pictures. It made me want to grow it out again...so it's decided, I'm going to grow it out.

I'm very impressed with Matt's Mexican skills. Having served with them myself, I can recognize a true professional when I see one. I give you permission to tell Matt I say so.
Thanks for setting the bar so high for cute baby girls popped out by the Bailey sisters. Amber and I will do our very best to match. And no, she does not look like Amber. She looks like her mom and dad.
