A Not So Exciting Week

I've decided I need to start doing more things so that I have more things to blog about. Here's a few highlights from the past week...in no particular order.

1. My sister called me because her water broke she went to the hospital, turns out it didn't break she just had a full bladder and a strong kicking baby.
2. Had dinner with my old roomates, it was great to see them and catch up.
3. I've been taking Kate in the bathtub with me...which has turned out to be kind of dangerous. I've been farted on 2 times and peed on 3 times (that I know of). But she has a great time so I don't mind.
4. I've finally started to catch up on my scrapbooking.
5. I fit into my skinny jeans this week (that was exciting)
6. I decided I'd like to run a marathon in May, if Katie Holmes can do it so can I (anyone who is not pregnant is welcome to join me, Anne? Steph? Brenda?Andrea? Jeff? Melissa? Jodi?)
7. Kate has been sleeping 9- 91/2 hours at night! Yea!
8. I've been trying to come up with Christmas present ideas...but haven't found anything...any ideas?
9. We leave for California Monday! We're so excited, warm weather here I come.
10. I start every morning with a Diet Pepsi (I know I'm bad) and listening to Christmas music, who could ask for anything better?
11. I'm in 4th place in our families Fantasy Basketball league! I'd like to give a shout out to my boys, Tony Parker, Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady, and good old Dirk Nowitzki, keep up the good work.
12. And last but not least I'm a terrible mom, I accidentally dropped a book on Kate's head yesterday. You wouldn't know except for the red mark it left on her forehead. Good thing she's easily distracted and doesn't remember!

Congrats on the skinny jeans! That is totally something to be excited about :) Don't feel bad about the book drop... worse things can (and sadly, will) happen - just ask eliza about the magazine rack. It was horrible. Also, the sleeping milestone is huge! I am also struggling with Christmas ideas... ugh.

You are so not a terrible mom...if that's the case than we all are. Once, Abby fell off our bed and hit an open drawer on the way down...I almost started bawling! Thank goodness they are so resilliant! You are such a wonderful mom! I kinda wish I could run the marathon with you but I'm pretty sure if I'm not already in labor by then, that will push it along!

Those are so fun! Wow-skinny jeans allready! It will take me a while to get back to those! Your sisters water breaking story-pretty darn funny, but I bet she was embarrassed! And I know you are a great mom!

Great overview of your week. The part I liked best was definitely your sister's bladder story. That is funny, funny stuff. Don't worry about the book. About this same age, I dropped Kaiya from a standing positing right onto the floor. Not sure I will ever forgive myself for that one. We you referring to me for the marathon or some other Jodi. I'm guess some other one....

oh shoot. That's was me, not Greg.

I was referring to you Jodi, come on you know you want to...

Way to go on the jeans and the scrapbooking!!! I finally told myself to get real and get working... no more "planning" and I've had a little success. You're way more productive than I am.

Oh man, I'm just picking myself off of the floor from laughing about you thinking I might be able to run a marathon. AHAHAHAHAHA! I am working out again though, so that's a start...right? RIGHT?????

I dropped my phone on Hazen's head the other day. I felt really bad. He was slightly upset with his mama.

Amanda-I hope we can meet up sometime. I would love to see your little girl and just catch up. Maybe we should wait another 6 months until I am in my skinny jeans...well, maybe a year if we are being honest! Good job!

What a fun week! And that's great about the jeans - nothing feels better than that! I might accept your invitation for the marathon - might be incentive to get my behind moving and working out again. Although I'd much rather accept an invitation to catch up on scrapbooking - that sounds like a lot more fun!

So I'm glad that you decided to share my personal "false alarm" story to the world. So much for keeping my embarrasement to myself. Mom and I both liked the new pictures of Kate. She looks so big compared to Makenna.

To set the record straight, I'm actually the one who wet the bed that night. I was pretty embarrassed, so when Amber woke up and saw the wet spot, I blamed it on her and "her water". I didn't realize that she'd actually want to go to the hospital because of it.

You should wear Depends to bed John, or maybe buy one of those mattress guards, you know the plastic sheet that protects the bed when you wet it. That's my recommendation.
