SLUMPADINKA

For those of you who watch Oprah you know what I'm talking about. I've been feeling lately like I fall into this category. How do you know your a Slumpadinka?

1. You wear pajamas to run errands (even if it is late at night)

2. You occassionally wear your husbands sweat pants

3. Your wardrobe lacks colorful luster

4. You "match" items that your wearing

5. You only shave your legs once a week (Okay I added this one because I'm guilty)

If you answered yes to any of these items you may be a Slumpadinka. My sister and I had a conversations yesterday that sparked this determination in me to not fall into this category. We decided we are going to try hard to step out of our usual "rut" of clothes and wear colorful coordinating items that may not necessarily match. I want to invite all of you to join me in my quest for hotness. Let's call this Mission Slumpadinka.

My first order of business: a colorful flat shoe. They are for sure out of the usual for me, but they were adorable so I bought them.

My second order of business: A colorful trench coat. I have a new black one from this winter and it's gorgeous! But I thought a pretty cream or red would add some life to my wardrobe.
Third: Accessories! This is one I am truly horrible about. I hardly ever buy jewelry. I used to back when I cared, but as of late I've felt no need to care. My goal, find some cute bracelets or necklaces to "finish" my outfits. Let's call this the icing on the cake.
Let's put away those sweat pants, put on some make-up, spend some time thinking about what to wear and pull ourselves out of a Slumpadinka rut. (I really hope I'm not the only one who this applies to, if I am then I envy those of you who actually look well put together on a daily basis!)

I am definitely joining you on this Mission Slumpadinka. I am tired of all of my old boring clothes. I also think our husbands will appreciate having their "hot wives" back!

I am so Slumpadinka, but I'm fat, too. So, how do I handle that one?

I saw that Oprah and I think I'm in Slumpadinka denial. I try to get myself together everyday, but's it's always in the same looking jeans and shirts. Maybe I just need a new wardrobe. Anyone want to nominate me for What Not To Wear?? :)

I'll join the party... I can definitely say that I fall into this category. Without having a car to go out during the day, there's no reason to get ready. My poor husband has to look at me when he gets home, though, in the evening. I'm going to start saving my money now so that I can get some new clothes after I have this baby. I always think that you look cute, though, so you won't have to work too hard!
