Since returning from Albuquerque it's been hard for me to get back into the grind of things. For those of you who don't know, on my trip home my suitcase (with pretty much all my and Kate's things in it) was lost by Southwest. They have no idea where it is or what happened to it. Talk about irritating. All my clothes, makeup, new clothes for Melissa's wedding, camera, and the list goes on. I've come to terms with the fact I will never see my stuff again but it's still irritating.
The puppies are HUGE! I actually had to take them to the vet this week due to a week long bout of diarrhea. It was quite a spectacle me carrying Kate in her car seat trying to manage two puppies all at the same time. We were there for an hour and 15 minutes to find out they have an over growth of bacteria. Not serious they just have to take an antibiotic for a week.
Kate is doing great, I'd post pictures but we don't have a camera to take any. She does this high pitched scream all the time now (I think she learned it from her cousin Savannah). It was especially fun to hear it during sacrament meeting today. I tried covering her mouth a little but she just kept screaming. I think she loves to hear herself yell. Both her top teeth are working their way down. Luckily it they don't seem to bother her too much. She has learned to give kisses which mainly consists of her opening her mouth as wide as she can and planting one right on your mouth. It's great!
Other than that nothing is too new for us. I've been informed about 100 times that Monday is opening season for baseball (Matt took work off for it). Oh how I can't wait to be watching baseball on T.V. every night.

Jenna does the same high-pitch scream and then laughs. Oh-no about your luggage. Do they compensate you for your loss?
Sorry about the screaming. We are often muffling Savvy's screams during church... it hasn't seemed to help, though. Good luck!
I'm not sure yet, we had to mail them some papers showing that it was missing. Then they mail me a claim form. I've heard that they will pay you for some things if you have receipts, but they pay you what they "think" things are worth, not what you paid for them. All in all it's a pretty stinky situation. Oh well, I wanted a new camera anyways!
I'm so sorry about your luggage. Nothing more annoying than having to start all over. We have a blanket of Kate's and her toy keys that you left behind. We'll get those in the mail for you.
I'm like you Amanda - I've had a hard time getting back into the swing of things. Mainly because we have been sick over here. Sorry about your luggage. What a frustration! I hope that they are willing to work with you. I never keep receipts for everything so it would be hard to me to prove the stuff in the luggage. Hope it works out for you!
baseball is better than thomas the tank engine... i think?
sorry about your lost luggage - i'd be so mad. are they going to compensate you for their mistake...a free flight to hawaii perhaps?
Yeah, I think you should FIGHT to get paid for all of the stuff they lost. Who knows though, maybe one day it will mysteriously show up at your front door?
Amanda,
Did I sense sarcasm in that baseball post? Aren't you a converted Dodger fan yet? Jodi sure is. She watches all the games.
OK, maybe one a year.
OK, maybe not even one a year. :(
