I tend to have a pretty wild imagination at times. Usually it's at its peak when Matt is working late and I'm home by myself. I hear one noise and think there is someone in the house or someone trying to break into the house. I've called Matt many times at work for him to come home just to make sure everything is alright. I will lay in bed just thinking of all the horrible things that could happen until I finally turn all the lights on and then fall asleep.
Recently Matt made a suggestion to me.."Why don't you let the dogs in the house when your scared?" Ah, I had never thought of that I guess because the last time I let them in the house and on my bed I found baby ticks all over them. We've since cleared that problem up, so I decided that was a great idea. Let me be clear, these are no guard dogs, they would lick a burglar to death before they would ever attack. But at least I would have some company after Kate went to bed. So the other night I let the dogs in with me, they both jumped up on the bed and we all went to sleep, Bell at my feet and Duke on Matt's pillow with one paw on me. I must admit I slept quite well that night. At least I have the comfort of knowing a burglar would have to make it through two licking dogs before he got to me.

i hate whenever anthonys gone. i sleep with the bathroom light on. i need some light for comfort, but not too much where i cant sleep. sounds like you found the fail proof way to get some rest at nights now!
Yeah...your dogs are pretty friendly. They may not make the best guard dogs, but at least they can keep you company!
