A Fun Couple of Days

Last night Matt, Kate, and I headed down to SLC for the Laker vs. Jazz game. We had a great time, Kate danced and danced while Matt and I enjoyed the game. Unfortuately she only lasted through the first half so her and I went back to the hotel so Matt could at least stay and watch the last half.

We got up in the morning and headed to the Aquarium in Draper. It was a bit smaller than we had expected, but Kate loved every minute of it. She walked all around looking at the fish, running up and down a ramp, and playing with toys in the gift shop. She was almost brave enough to touch the Sting Ray in the petting pool, but decided it was a little too big for her.

After that we headed to Chuck E Cheese for lunch. Boy was that a treat. Kate rode the rides
(well the ones that hardly moved because the others were too scary) ran around with Matt. She enjoyed it all except for the pizza she refused to eat.

After Chuck-E-Cheese we jumped in the car headed to Target. I love Target and am so sad we don't have one here. We bought a swimsuit for Kate (for our trip to Florida in April) and an Elmo toy, she is all things Elmo these days. After Target Kate was pretty wiped out so we drove back to Logan while she slept.

It's not often we get to go away as the three of us and I loved every minute of it! Thanks Matt for planning such a great time.

Too bad the Lakers lost!
Kate ate ice cream during the game which kept her entertained for about 1/2 an hour.
Matt looking studly.
Kate walking up and down the ramp at the aquarium.
Refusing to smile for the camera and instead hitting daddy's face. (We really shouldn't laugh when she does that)
The only ride she would go on at Chuck-E-Cheese.
