Florida

We made it home yesterday from our trip to Florida. We had a great time there and thankfully we ended up with only one rainy day and the rest were sunny. Here are a few highlights from the trip

1. I spotted a shark a few feet off shore one day, and then a wave washed it up on shore. I ran over and lifted it up further on shore and then ran inside to tell everyone. We got some cool pictures of Kate touching it, but they aren't on my camera. It was so neat to see a real live wild shark, but it did make us think twice about swimming in the water.

2. Playing on the beach and watching Matt boogie board, he caught some pretty big waves. The sand was super fine and soft. Kate liked chasing birds up and down the shoreline.

3. Going to the zoo, they had an awesome zoo for being a little town. That was the closest I've ever been to animals like tigers, lions, cougars, and bears, it was pretty neat and it was one of Kate's favorite activities.

4. I went fishing one day with my dad and brothers and although the fishing wasn't great we did see tons of dolphins and some baby ones. It was fun just being out in the boat.

5. We went to a Gulfarium where we saw two dolphin shows and a sealion show along with sharks, penguins, and tons of fish. We all enjoyed it.

6. Unfortunately Kate was sick the first 3 days of the trip and Matt the last 3, but they were both troopers and we had a great time despite that. We hope to make it back one day.

Thanks mom and dad for making it all possible!
