Yesterday a nice middle-aged sales man came to our door. I answered the door and here's how the conversation went:
Him: "Are your parents home?"
Me: Smiling "Um no, they aren't here."
Him: "Do you know when they will be back?"
Me: "I'm not sure, probably not for a long time."
Him: "Thanks, I'll stop by another time then."
I couldn't keep from laughing as I shut the door. I didn't lie, my parents weren't home and I really don't think they will be back for a long time. At least it kept me from having to hear a sales pitch about some cleaning products.

Married, with one kid, seventeen weeks pregnant and being mistaken for a teenager... Way to go, Amanda!
That is pretty funny! You'll have to tell mom and dad about that; I'm sure they would get a kick out of it.
Nice! That is pretty funny. I have only had that happen on the phone. Hope you are well!
