Birthday and St. George

For my birthday this year we had a nice quiet celebration at home. Kate sang "Happy Birthday" to me about 20 times throughout the day and her and Matt made the birthday cake. Matt surprised me with an incredible new camera, seriously it's more than I ever thought I'd want and I absolutely love it!

The next morning we headed to St. George to meet up with my parents and brother. They were down there visiting Dixie. We had a great time seeing them and packed as much as we could into the 2 1/2 days we were there. We played at a park, went fishing, went to the temple, hiked some trails in Zion National Park, went swimming, and did a little sight seeing of the area. I must say I loved St. George, I think I'd move there in a heart beat. Kate and Gabriella loved seeing Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Morgan, and cousin Chris. Gabriella just smiled and smiled and especially seemed to like Uncle Morgan. We had such a fun time and hopefully it's something we can do again.

Gabriella was a trooper the whole trip. It's a good thing she can thrive on "cat" naps.
Right before the trip I CHOPPED Kate's hair and I mean chopped. It took me about 4 haircuts to get it evened out. Good thing hair grows back, right?
I doubt there's anything that makes that girl happier than fishing with her dad.
It was the perfect day to visit Zion's, sunny and beautiful! We had a hard time peeling her away from the swing.
We all hope Uncle Morgan will come to Utah for school, we'd love to see him more often.

Happy Birthday, again! I hope you got our singing message - sorry it was a day late. Just one more day to celebrate your birthday, right?

Glad you had a good time in St. George. What kind of camera did you get? We'll have to compare when we are there this weekend -

Happy Birthday!

Kate's haircut is so cute and the idea of St. George sounds wonderful. I agree about the little girls fishing with their Daddy. It doesn't get better than that!
