For about 2 weeks I've been preparing Kate for the "Binkie Fairy" who was planning to make a stop at our house after our trip to Vernal. I would explain to her what was going to happen as she intently listened to every word. After our conversations she would sit for a minute and then usually reply with one of these phrases:
1. "After the Binkie Fairy comes she's going to take my binkies, then she's going to put something in my mouth and... IT'S GOING TO BE A BINKIE!"
2. "The Binkie Fairy is coming and she's going to leave ONE binkie for Kate."
I don't think she understood the purpose of the Binkie Fairy so when we got home from Vernal they just happened to disappear. She was distraught during nap time and cried a little but she went to sleep. At night she asked for it but didn't cry. Every night since she has asked for it or when she see's Gabriella with a binkie she instructs me that it is hers not Gabriella's. Overall I thought it would be a much harder transition than it has been. I'm glad to have that fight over with. Now on to potty training...

I really need to take Makenna's binkie away, but I am just so worried that it is going to be so hard. I'm glad that Kate is adjusting well.
Not even the binkie fairy can boss Kate around!! I'm glad that the change is going well. What a big girl she is now!! P.S. Good luck with the potty training... that has got to be one of the worst parts of parenting!
