What's a girl to do?
Matt has been working a lot these past few weeks and has really missed seeing the girls. Last night he arrived home around 10:30pm, ran straight into our bedroom where I had just put Kate to bed (that's a whole other story), picked her up and took her to the video store. Yep in her princess nightgown and all. They picked out a movie and then we all got into bed, ate popcorn, and stayed up waaaay too late. It was fun and although I'm paying for her lack of sleep today it was worth it just to see the look of pure delight on Matt's face when Kate cuddled up with him to sleep.

what a precious memory! Good for you for not being caught up in rules and routines!
I agree with the other comments. Way to go with the flow. I struggle with that at times. At least matt remembers what counts at the end of a long day! You are very blessed. :)
That is a really fun and sweet memory. Sometimes (just hopefully not very often) it is worth it to let them stay up late or skip their naps for other more important things.
