We finally got around to really celebrating Kate's birthday with cake and presents. We had a great time and it was especially special because Uncle Dan was in town to celebrate with us. I just can't believe she's already 3. It seems like she has grown up so much in the past month. She asks "why?" to everything, wants to know what I'm talking about when I'm on the phone, and loves to be silly and tell jokes. I adore this little girl. I love watching her learn and grow. I've been working really hard with her on being reverent for prayers. For some reason night time is the hardest for her. But a few nights ago she decided she was ready to say the prayer without any assistance. Here's how it went:
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this day. Thank you for our blessings. Thank you for the church. Thank you for the steeple. Thank you for my family. Thank you for the dinosaur park. Thank you for markers. Thank you for our crayons. Bless us to be nice. Bless us to watch movies. Bless us to go to the dinosaur park. Bless us that the butterflies will fly outside at night time. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
I love this little girl so much. She has made me such a better person. Thank you Kate for being so sweet and happy and bringing so much joy to our family.
