She's One!

Gabriella turned one this past week. She is just too much fun right now and it seems like she learns new things daily. Here are a few of her new interests and tricks she's learned in the past few weeks.

*She loves her baby doll. She almost always has one if not two. She brings me her baby and a blanket to make sure it always stays wrapped up.

*She started folding her arms during prayers

*She dug through Kate's crayons to find a piece of chalk and started writing on the chalkboard by herself

* She will choose vegetables over fruit any day of the week and green beans or corn over any other food...even cookies.

*She doesn't talk a lot but does say "dadada" and her word for everything else she wants is "Heeee" She just changes the inflection of that word to mean different things. There's a happy "Heeeee", a deep husky "Heeeee" usually when she wants something and isn't getting it.

*She's still a happy little person but is one strong willed little girl. If she doesn't get what she wants she throws herself on the ground and yells or screams.

*We sure love having her in our family.

Luckily Melissa came over to help me decorate the cake. I did all the easy decorating while she did all the hard stuff. Thanks to her Gabriella had a beautiful cake! Thanks Melissa!!!
Melissa, Dave, and baby Audrey came over to celebrate with us. We sure love living close to them.

Kate loves to dress Gabriella up these days. It's been fun watching them play together now that Gabriella feels she can do anything Kate can do.
