Today while checking out at Wal Mart Kate asked me a question, "Mom, is it a boy or a girl?" I was confused for a minute until I realized she was referring to the masculine looking lady checking out our groceries. I tried to distract her but she again persisted even louder, "Mom, is it a boy or a girl!?"
I'm sure my face was turning red about that time. Before I could answer the lady looked at me and said, "Did she just ask if I'm a boy or girl?" I was beyond mortified. I couldn't even look her in the face as I shook my head yes.
Kate repeated her question again even louder. I'm sure everyone in line behind us could hear the conversation taking place. I told Kate she was a girl. Kate looked at her really confused and then said, "Oh yea, because she's wearing earrings?" I rushed out of that place as fast as I could and tried to explain to Kate that if she ever again wanted to know if someone was a boy or a girl to please whisper it in my ear next time.
It had to have been one of the more awkward and embarrassing moments of my life thus far. So to the lady cashier at Wal Mart who sort of looked like a boy I sincerely apologize.

That is so funny...embarrassing and awkward, yes, but also funny. I'm glad you recorded that one. :)
Oh my gosh! Oops...although I have wondered a time or two myself!!
HAAAAAAA!! That's great.
Well if the lady made herself look that manly, maybe she needed to hear that so she'll get a makeover. I think I'd have had a hard time not laughing.
