The Last Few Days

We've had a fun filled couple of days which seems to be the theme for our summer. Father's Day was great, we thoroughly enjoyed the time together as a family. The girls gave Matt some gifts along with making him a cake and singing "Happy Father's Day to You..." complete with candles. Then we let the girls just dig into the cake. Kate picked off the candles and Gabriella followed suite enjoying every lick and double dip of frosting. All was going well until Gabriella began to eat the candles...that ended her fun.

Today the girls and I went swimming again while Matt was at work. We've enjoyed our daily swims and it's been exciting for me to watch Kate get more and more confident. Today was a big day for her, she finally decided to put her face in the water. She was so proud of herself she came home and drew a picture of herself swimming under the water (her way of celebrating her big accomplishment).

After Matt arrived home from work we quickly ate dinner and headed up to a beautiful little park area to go fishing and play. The ducks were REALLY friendly and ran right up to us as we arrived. Both the girls fed them from their fingers and then spent the remaining time chasing the ducks around trying to "pet" them.

I love days like the last few where we get to spend time as a family. There's nothing in this world that makes me happier than being with Matt and my girls.

I love the excitement on her face, she really couldn't get enough of the ducks.
My favorite picture of all, completely melts my heart.
