Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend we decided to load up in the car and head to California to enjoy some time with Grandma and Grandpa Peterson and Uncle Dan. The girls are great little travelers now and were thrilled to be heading to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We arrived late Friday night, spent a little time visitnig and playing with Shiba then headed to bed.

Early the next morning the boys got up and headed to a lake about an hour away to fish. In the afternoon the rest of us joined the boys for lunch and then a little more fishing on the lake. The girls LOVED being out on the boat. I don't think Gabriella stopped smiling the whole time. The fish finder supplied plenty of entertainment for Kate who every time it beeped that there was a fish would yell "Daddy there's a fish, hurry catch it!" Matt did catch one fish and we decided that was success enough for the day. After fishing for the day we headed home to swim in the pool and play some more.

Sunday we enjoyed church with Grandma and Grandpa. After church we napped then the girls did side walk chalk for the remainder of the day...seriously. Kate had stories drawn out all over the back patio. It was quite the masterpiece.

Monday we swam in the morning the headed to Underwood Family Farms where the girls rode ponies, pet and brushed goats, fed horses, and rode in a cute little wagon. They had a great time and the farm was just adorable. We didn't stay too long but loved every minute of being there. After that we loaded up in the car and headed home again. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for another great weekend!
