Haircuts and Nursery

I took Kate to get her hair trimmed this week. I thought she would want to keep her hair long but as soon as she sat in the chair and the lady asked her how she wanted it cut Kate informed the stylist she wanted it short, to her chin. I was a little sad to see the length cut off but she looks just as cute with short hair.

Yesterday as I was curling her new short hair, I burned her ear. She cried and cried. I felt horrible and in a flood of tears she looked at me and said, "It's okay Mom, it was just an accident it wasn't your fault." It was too sweet and only made me feel worse for my mistake.
While Kate has been just as sweet as can be Gabriella has been in her true form lately. On Sunday Matt and I both had to teach so Gabriella was left in Nursery by herself. She hates Nursery and she screamed the ENTIRE time she was in there. The poor teachers in there with her, all I could do after church was apologize to them over and over.

After church I was talking with Gabriella about Nursery and I tried again to explain to her that "we don't cry at Nursery." She nodded like she understood and then said to me, "No Screaming." Apparently when crying wasn't working Gabriella had resorted to her high pitched screaming at the top of her lungs. I know the scream and I'm thinking I'm going to have to take dinner and dessert over to the Nursery teachers before they have to deal with her again on Sunday. Heaven help me and this child.

It seems the girls' Halloween costumes this year will be really fitting, Kate as Glinda The Good Witch and Gabriella as The Wicked Witch of the West.

Don't let that smile deceive you, this girl is all trouble.
