Halloween

Halloween has been pretty fun this year. I usually don't get into Halloween too much but this year we made a special trip to California so that my sweet and amazing Mother-in-law could help me make the girls costumes. We sewed and sewed and finished the girls dresses along with my Dorothy dress. It was a wild and fun weekend and I am so grateful to have such great in-laws who allow us to drop in for a quick weekend trip.

The girls have had lots of opportunities to wear their costumes so far. First up was trick-or-treating at PetSmart. The girls had a great time, Gabriella was especially loving all the candy that made it's way to her bucket. It seemed like one piece would go in and one would go out and in her mouth.

The next night was our Ward Trunk-or-Treat. Matt and I dressed up with the girls as Dorothy and the Scare Crow but unfortunately we took zero pictures. But we did win the prize for best Family Themed Costumes.

Today was Kate's Preschool party. The parents and siblings were invited for games, snacks, and fun. It was fun to see Kate interact with her Preschool friends. She has really loved going to Preschool and it's been fun for me to watch her blossom and grow.

Kate and her Preschool teacher Miss Carrie.
Gabriella has really LOVED her costume this year. Everyone asks me if she minds being painted green. Gabriella loves to be green, she thinks it's so cool. She holds perfectly still while I paint her face and arms.

We went trick-or-treating with some friends of ours. The kids had a great time running around getting candy and managing not to get too scared at some of the houses. All in all it was a really great Halloween.
