I think Kate gets more excited about holidays than anyone I know. She's
been so excited for Mother's Day this year. She has already been
working on cards and pictures and gifts for me. Today I sat looking
through the pile of pictures and cards she has made for me and don't
want to ever forget what a sweet little girl she is. It's nice to feel so loved, especially when Gabriella tells me daily what a mean mom I am (usually because I won't give her M&M's for breakfast, or her binkie other than at bedtime).
Kate has recently been sounding words out to spell them. I wrote the translation of her sentences beneath the picture.
"I love you Mom. I love you. For you Mom."
"When the Sun shines a beautiful rainbow Shines."
"I love you, you are special, I love you!"
Here she made a maze to help me (Mom) get back to Kate at the house. "Help Kate's Mom find her way through the maze."
"I love you Mom. Happy Mother's Day. Wear your Mother's Day family clothes." (Note the directions to put the card in an envelope)
"To Mom from Kate Love Mom. I love my family"
"I see my Mother. I love my Mother." (again I like that she drew directions to put the card in an envelope for me.
