We're Back From NEBRASKA

Kate and I left last Wednesday and just got home last night from a great trip to Nebraska. We had so much fun seeing Grandma and Grandpa's new house and playing with all the cousins. Here's a run down of what we did.
Thursday: Played on the beach in the water. Once Kate felt the water that's all she wanted to do was play in it all day long. We had lots of company over that day, Amber and Makenna came over along with my aunt Christina and her little girls. My Grandma Bailey and aunt Renae also made it out during the day. It was so fun to see everyone. Later that night Brad and Jacque brought their three little kids out. Kate loved all the excitement and would just run around thinking someone was chasing her. She has gotten pretty good at walking.

Friday: My mom and I packed Kate up in the morning and headed into Amber's apartment. My mom watched the girls so that Amber and I could go get haircuts. Then we went shopping at Target (I'm so sad we don't have Target here). After shopping we grabbed the girls and my mom and some lunch and headed over to Lance and Tanya's to visit with them and see their new little puppies (their bulldog had puppies anyone want one?). We had a great time, they set up a blow-up encaged jumping thing for the kids, that Kate loved so much. Late that night I went to an emergency dentist due to some consistant tooth pain I was feeling. I walked into the clinic and about walked out, it looked disgusting. The two women in the waiting room looked up how do I say it politely....white trashish. They were waiting for a friend who was having several teeth pulled. I pictured the worst. I would have left, but I was desperate. So they walk me back and it was even dirtier with parts of the floor missing and paint chipping off the walls everywhere. The dentist was really kind however, and after an x-ray determined that it I was having pain because my crown was hitting before my other teeth causing it to become irritated. He shaved it down and gave me an antibiotic to calm it down, and it was over. I'm happy to say my pain has left and I'm feeling much better. After my trip to the dentist we went to Morgan's football game. It was fun, I pretty much just walked around with Kate because that's all she wanted to do. They lost, but I still enjoyed watching him play.

Saturday: We got up and took the boat out so that I could go wakeboarding. I haven't been in years so I was nervous if I would even remember what to do, but I got up right away and had a great time! Amber, John, and Makenna came over to boat also. So we spent the morning wake boarding and fishing. It was so much fun. My dad has his own personal dock, so his boat is right there ready to go. That afternoon we watched football and hung around the house. My dad made great Mexican food for dinner and we had a great evening watching the kids play.

Sunday: Sunday I went to visit my cousin Jeff and Andrea and see their two little girls who are adorable. It was fun to catch up. Jeff was one of my best friends growing up, so I really enjoyed talking to them. Sunday night my dad left to go out of town for business, so my mom, Morgan, and I hung out at the house.

Monday: In the morning I left and Amber, Makenna and I went shopping at the mall. Kate stayed with my mom because she was sick and needed her rest. We went shopping with the intention of buying Amber new clothes, but we only bought clothes for our little girls. We found some great deals at Baby Gap, and a cute used clothing store. It was fun to spend the day with Amber. After shopping we went back to Amber's, had lunch and tried to die a patch of her hair...unfortunately we picked out a kit that was too light so it really didn't work...sorry Amber! We sorted through her clothes getting rid of a few old things, and deciding she really needs to go shopping for some new things. After Amber's I headed to see Brenda one of my dear friends who was in town staying with her parents. It was so fun to see her cute little girl and boy and to catch up with her. It was really great to talk to her and reminded me how much I've missed her over the years. That night Lance and Tanya and their kids, and Brad and Jacque and their kids came over for dinner. It was a wild house with kids running everywhere. Kate was dominated quite a few times being pushed down on the wood floor. But she survived and really loved watching everyone run around.

All in all it was a great trip. I didn't take many pictures, but here are my favorites that I did take.

Finding Makenna's belly button..cute, right? Well it wasn't cute when it was the woman on the plane next to me, and Kate was lifting up her shirt to find her belly button.

Kate in the sink bath tub. She really loves her baths or as she calls them "bubbes." Hannah just wanted to hold her the whole time...this was the best we could do.
A view of the lake from their back door. The water is literally 50 feet from their porch. That's their dock and boats. It is a beautiful setting.
