Hard Things

   Today Kate was trying to do something that she immediately decided was too hard to do.  I took the opportunity to explain to her that even when things are hard we don't give up.  We talked about it for a little bit and I ended by saying, there will be lots of hard things you'll have to do in your life and we never, never, never give up.
    She thought for a minute and replied, "I have two really hard things in my life right now; cleaning the toy room up and dealing with my Mom."
    This comes after last week she told some people she was "blessed to have patience with her Mom." I'm sensing a theme in her feelings towards me lately...
